Frequently Asked Questions
How much time do I need to invest?
Usually about an hour is required to clean the whole village if two people are working together. When it’s done regularly, a maintenance clean might take just 30 minutes.
Do I have to make a long term commitment?
That’s entirely up to you. Most people who make a long term commitment do a pick up once every 6 weeks but if you’d like to just join in occasionally that is good too.
Will equipment be provided?
Yes. Bags, gloves and litter pickers will be provided. The County Council provides these to the Tidy Towns group on request.
Can my part of Cabinteely be cleaned?
We would love to extend the area which is currently cleaned but we need more volunteers in order to do this. If you can get a neighbour or two to join in, we will certainly try to cover a larger area than the immediate one surrounding the village which we do now. Just get in touch with us by emailing us from here.
